In October, the MapInfluenCE project in cooperation with the European Council on Foreign Relations (ECFR) organized a debate titled ‘What Do Polish Political Parties Think About China?’ in Warsaw.
Joanna Nawrotkiewicz presented her new study for MapInfluenCE analyzing the positions held by Poland’s five prominent political groups on China. Together with Alicja Bachulska, MapInfluenCE analyst and Policy Fellow at the European Council on Foreign Relations (ECFR) and Adrian Brona, Lecturer at the Institute of Middle and Far East, Faculty of International and Political Studies of Jagiellonian University, they discussed Polish parties’ views and practical steps on the issue of Sino-Russian relations post the Ukraine invasion, economic cooperation and dependencies, human rights violations, Chinese engagement in critical infrastructure and technology, as well as Poland’s political alliances within the EU and with the US. The discussion was moderated by Thomas Orchowski, journalist at Radio TOK FM.
